On 7th July 2025, some of IMHA’s Steering Council and Founding Cohort members came together in Delhi for an afternoon of reflection, collaboration, and conversation. Hosted by our Founding Trustees, Vasvi Bharat Ram and Ashish Bharat Ram, we were honoured to have with us Dr. Shekhar Saxena, Dr. Tasneem Raja, Dr. Poornima Bhola, Dr. Prabha Chandra, Dr Alok Sarin, Dr. Kavita Arora, Dr. Shelja Sen, Dr. Amit Sen, and Neha Kirpal – all of whom have shaped this field in transformative ways and continue to guide IMHA’s path forward.

The gathering was a meaningful moment to look back on the journey so far and envision the road ahead for mental health in India. It reaffirmed our shared commitment to centering lived experience, working across sectors, and strengthening the voices of Alliance member organisations, each bringing its own wisdom of lived experience, community-rooted insight, and vision for building a mental healthcare ecosystem for India.
