IMHA at the 10th World Congress on Women’s Mental Health

The India Mental Health Alliance was proud to curate the lived experience track at the International Association for Women’s Mental Health 2025 World Congress at NIMHANS from 5th-8th March in Bangalore. IMHA led a powerful symposium on integrating lived experience in mental health care, chaired by Dr. Nandini Murali. Speakers included Dr. Poornima Viswanathan, Dr. Kavita Arora, Sidrah Naiyer, and Bakul Dua, who shared personal and professional insights on autonomy, power, and inclusive care.

Neha Kirpal, IMHA Founding Cohort member, also delivered a plenary reflecting on caregiving and the need to centre lived experience as expertise. The session reinforced a shared call for systems that are co-created, inclusive, and grounded in real-life experiences.
