– Mannotsava – The National Mental Health Festival (October 2024)
Mental health is a collective responsibility, not just a personal issue. By connecting lived experiences across cultural contexts with systemic change, we can build a future where mental care is truly responsive and relevant to the needs of the individuals and communities it serves.

The Alliance brings members together through online and in-person convenings to create cross-sectoral dialogue and collaboration in mental health. In the lead-up to its First Annual Convening on 29th September 2025 in Delhi, IMHA is hosting four focused consultations with Alliance members:
- - Organisational capacity building (April)
- - Integration of mental health into cross-sectoral programmes (May)
- - Lived Experience Expertise (June)
- - Youth mental health (July)
These four consultations will set the stage for the first in-person Annual Convening, which will unite mental health organisations, funders, lived experience-led groups, cross-sectoral actors, and development partners as co-creators shaping India’s mental health agenda. Sessions will be directly informed by consultation insights, ensuring they reflect real-world practice and collective priorities.

This will be IMHA’s first in-person Annual Convening.

Alliance Governance
IMHA, a Section 8 Company, ensures all funding supports the Alliance’s growth and capacity building in mental health. As the Alliance’s Secretariat, IMHA manages infrastructure, outreach, convenings, and the Knowledge Centre. Over time, the Alliance will establish its own governance with a rotating chair from member organizations.
We respectfully do not advocate on behalf of any organisations and refrain from promoting for-profit businesses. Membership in the Alliance is focused on enhancing and supporting the collective, rather than advancing the interests of any individual organisation. Membership does not entail any obligations regarding funding or fundraising for other members by IMHA.
